Common Mode Chokes
Principle of Operation: Common mode chokes consist of two or more coils wound on a magnetic core. The coils are wound in such a way that the magnetic fields generated by the currents flowing in opposite directions cancel each other out for common mode signals, while they add up for differential mode signals. This differential behavior allows common mode chokes to effectively suppress common mode noise.
