Optical Sensors - Photo Detectors - Logic Output
Working Principle: Photo detectors with logic output typically consist of a photodiode or phototransistor that generates an electrical current or voltage when exposed to light. The output circuitry of the sensor processes the signal from the photodetector and provides a digital output signal based on a predetermined threshold. When the light level surpasses the threshold, the sensor outputs a logical high (e.g., +5V or +3.3V), indicating the presence of light. If the light level falls below the threshold, the sensor outputs a logical low (e.g., 0V), indicating the absence of light.
