The GS7032 is designed to encode and serialize SMPTE 125M bit parallel digital video signals as well as other 8-bit or 10-bit parallel formats. This device performs the following functions:

â€¢ parallel to serial conversion
â€¢ data scrambling (using the X9 + X4 + 1 algorithm)
â€¢ 10x parallel clock multiplication
â€¢ conversion of NRZ to NRZI serial data
